Appeal to all members-Put your all efforts to turn around BSNL by 2017

Since last 15 years we had been facing serious discrimination and negative attitude of authorities including board of directors. Various genuine and critical HR issues were not only ignored but deliberately created to deprive the regular executives of BSNL. They were not only ignorant towards genuine HR issues of the executives but also towards the development issues of the company. They have always blamed the base level employees for negative growth of the company instead taking bold and provocative policy decision for survival of the company in tough competitive market. Due to such ignorant and negative attitude of the authorities, we were forced to react strongly by launching big agitation/protest frequently. Industrial peace, harmony and trust was completely missing in BSNL which has degraded the moral of the executives hence severely affected the productivity.

 

Now attitude and approach of the present board and other authorities dealing with HR issues including CGMs in the Circles seems to be changed positively and provocatively which is clearly visible. We believe that after new composition of board, some bold and much required decisions have been taken on development front and headed towards resolution of long pending HR issues of the employees. Instead of blaming base level employees for loss they dare to accept the policy failure. Such proactive approaches of board and CGMs in field have certainly improved the moral and faith level of the employees which in turn will convert in to the productivity of the company.

 

Difference of Approach of the present board and previous board towards the resolution of very critical issues like finalization of standard pay scale, superannuation benefits, CPSE cadre hierarchy, MT deferment etc. are not hidden from any executives of BSNL. How the approaches of CGMs in fields are being changed can be realized by the incident in MP Telecom circle. We all remember that just one and half year before some executives of MP Telecom circle after remain unheard for years together, were forced to protest for very genuine issues of random pay cut, short deposit in EPF account, non-transfer of EPF, non-implementation of digital signature etc. but in turn they receive suspension, FIR, Charge Sheets leaving issues unresolved. After joining of new CGM and GM (Admin) all these issues received high attention and now getting resolved one by one through formation of centralize Grievance Cell which is being monitored by CGM Sir itself. Executives of MP Telecom Circle are witnessing very positive response from Circle Management. This association is receiving similar response from some other circles also.

 

AIGETOA has already listed all the issues affecting mass and being taken up before Director (HR) and CMD. As we know that Director (HR) has already fixed the time schedule for all association and committed to discuss and resolve the issues on by one. Many issues have been created during last 15 years and resolution of all issues will take it’s own time.

 

This association request all it’s members to please concentrate on work keeping in mind the next pay revision which is due on 01.01.2017. When present management is positively considering and resolving our issues on merit, this is our duty to not let them down. We have to capitalize the revenue taking the advantage of some unique scheme/plan announced by BSNL like free incoming while roaming on mobile, free night calling on landline and enhanced broadband speed by putting our extra effort. At the same time we must ensure minimum down time of BTS by proper rearrangement of available resources, proper speed to broadband customers by upgrading the media, fault rectification on time, delighting behavior towards our valuable customers etc. we must also interact with line staff regularly to update their knowledge about new schemes and technology. Our such small contribution will certainly regain the last glory of BSNL and will be able to achieve all the benefits of third PRC including those we missed in 2nd PRC.
